The California State Capitol Museum is the museum within the Capitol building itself. It's operated by California State Parks and has been open since 1982. The building is a fun, beautiful, and interesting tour for an hour or so, especially when the legislature is in session. It's your civic duty to stop in one of your legislator's offices and tell them your opinion on a bill.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Free wifi is available. While you're in the area, consider visiting the Crocker Art Museum for more art and history. The Capitol is located in Downtown Sacramento, easy to reach by public transit or car.

“Hardly Arnold's house...”

He hasn't spent 100 days in the state capitol in any year since he first became governor. The building makes for a fun, beautiful, and interesting tour for about an hour, particularly when the legislature is in session. And if you're from California, it's your civic duty to drop into one of your legislator's offices, say hello, and share your opinion on a bill they're about to vote on.
