“A big historic movie theatre”
The Castro Theatre is a well-known theater in the Castro neighborhood. It shows classic films along with a few newer releases. The theater has two levels and plenty of seating. Film festivals like the gay and lesbian film festival and the Jewish film festival are held here. There are also live performances by celebrities such as Barbara Eden. Concessions are reasonably priced, and you can get hot tea and coffee. Don't expect hot dogs, chicken fingers, or nachos.

“A ballpark not a stadium”
Last season, one of the Red Sox owners corrected an interviewer by calling Fenway a ballpark rather than a stadium. That distinction captures why attending a game there is so enjoyable—it's not like the other big venues. Fenway has held onto its name and history by preserving the character of the park and the city. You have to appreciate a city that has its own language, not just an accent. Even if you don't catch a game, the area around Fenway is filled with great bars, food, and sausage vendors in the summer.
