“Get in touch with the wild side!”

Often ranked among the top five zoos globally, the San Diego Zoo was an early innovator in bringing animals to the public through media, featuring ambassador Joan Embry on shows like Johnny Carson. The zoo continuously improves with advanced breeding programs, education, and updated exhibits. Plan a full day with comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a backpack, and an adventurous spirit. It's a must-visit for connecting with wildlife.

“There's a reason they are the greatest zoo.”

This is among the very best zoos globally, on par with the wild animal park. They put immense effort into keeping it fresh, clean, and welcoming. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed; zoos let people see animals they'd never encounter otherwise, and you hope that care and compassion are priorities—this zoo does its utmost.

“One of the BEST Zoos!”

I can't believe nobody else has reviewed this world-famous zoo before me. It's a fantastic place, one of the best in the country. What should I mention first? The giant pandas, elephants, lions, or tigers? They have every animal you can think of. If you enjoy zoos, you can't miss this one. There's also an affiliated facility, the San Diego Wild Animal Park north of San Diego, which is equally wonderful.
