“Best Gay Theatre in SF”
Make sure to catch a show here before you leave town. Theatre Rhino might have been the first and longest-running gay theater, but NCTC has been putting on higher-quality productions for years. Their work is impressive given their small budget.

“Great place for gay plays”
The New Conservatory Theatre is located conveniently less than a block from the Van Ness MUNI stop and stages many excellent LGBTQ-themed plays across its three auditoriums. They now have a liquor license and permit drinks inside the theater. It used to be called the Nude Conservatory Theatre because many gay plays featured nudity to attract audiences, but I haven't seen any nudity in a play there for a long time.
