“Beautiful artwork spoiled by employees!”

When you first walk in, the museum's beauty starts to surround you. Then you notice the many large security guards everywhere, staring at you as if expecting you to be carrying weapons. You tell yourself this must be a valuable collection for such protection. When you approach the admissions desk, the employee there has a terrible smell, like something decaying. You try not to judge, pay the $5 entry fee, and step into the galleries. The Tiffany artworks are breathtaking and you float through the rooms in awe. But your experience is interrupted by a cleaner dusting in the middle of the day, which I've never seen before in any museum. She was not only stirring up dust that aggravated my asthma, but also blocking my view and ruining the peaceful atmosphere. Surely she could have waited until no visitors were nearby. The staff here seem to have no respect for customers. Moving on to the chapel, the beauty again captivates you, but then one of the many creepy guards accuses you of taking photos. Even though I didn't have a camera and explained that, the guard insisted on accusing me. Next, in the Laurelton Hall exhibit, the art is a feast for the eyes, but the guards continue to follow you in an obvious way. After finishing the art, I went to the gift shop, which is small but packed with interesting items. A shop assistant there gave me a predatory smile and seemed greedy. When I said I was just looking, she looked at me as if I were too stupid to need help, too poor to afford anything, and just taking up space. I understand Winter Park can be snobby, but this woman was especially nasty. As I left, I noticed a wooden box that I had seen in another shop, but here it was marked up 300%. With prices like that, it's a wonder they expect to sell anything. Overall, my visit to The Morse Museum ruined my day. The owner should reconsider how guests are treated.
