“What a Treat”
A bartender at a local gay bar told me to check this place out. The collection is truly impressive. I was stunned by how many works by renowned artists were on display, and seeing the Rembrandt self-portrait was a particular highlight.

“Excellent museum - very worth seeing”
The Gardner Museum has stayed almost exactly the same since its creator passed away in 1924. Its three levels of exhibit rooms encircle a central courtyard full of plants that thrive year-round. This was originally the home of Isabella Stewart Gardner, an art-loving philanthropist who gathered pieces from across the globe and arranges them wonderfully in what used to be her residence in a neighborhood of Boston. You can leave your car in the Museum of Fine Arts lot and stroll two blocks to get here. It is among my top choices in the city.
