Shark Reef

Aquarium at Mandalay Bay

About

On the Las Vegas Strip inside Mandalay Bay, Shark Reef is a museum-like aquarium featuring a 1.6 million gallon tank with exotic fish and a simulated shipwreck. It's one of the larger aquariums in the U.S., though not the biggest. Reviews note that lines can be long but move quickly, and audio wands are cleaned after each use.

“Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay Resort”

A fairly nice aquarium, though the lines to purchase tickets and enter were long, but they moved quickly. One plus was that after walking through, we noticed they sanitize the audio wands after each use. The aquarium had a decent variety of specimens and is large at 1.6 million gallons, though not as enormous as some other aquariums across the country. Admission was about $17, and there were no discounts for certain membership groups or seniors.
