About

Rockefeller Center is open 24 hours daily, making it an anytime stop whether you're an early riser or a night owl. This sprawling complex in Midtown East blends a public park with a shopping center, all set amid historic art and architecture from John D. Rockefeller Jr.'s original 1930 vision. You'll find seasonal gardens, outdoor ice skating, and the iconic Top of the Rock observation deck.

Expect crowds and tourists, especially near the main plaza. If you need a quieter moment, the side gardens and the Channel Gardens offer a brief escape. Dogs are welcome, so you can bring your pup along for a stroll. For a deeper dive into New York's art scene, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is a short walk away.

“Awesome with a catch”

It's an iconic spot, but you need to be prepared for tourists in the way, unusual characters, queues, and even strollers. So if you're not up for that, just get a postcard.
