In Southwest Portland between 15th and 16th avenues, Artists Repertory Theatre has been Portland's longest-running professional theater company since 1982. It specializes in contemporary works and new play development, staging them in two intimate off-Broadway-sized theaters. A four-member Resident Acting Ensemble performs throughout each season.
