The MAC

Experimental art in a trendy setting

About

The MAC is free with a suggested $5 contribution, making it a natural gathering spot in Oaklawn before dinner or a show at Kitchen Dog Theater. Exhibits rotate every five or six weeks, so there's always something new and different with a flare. It follows an avant-garde aesthetic, not classical. This is a decent place for a quick bite at Cafe Express and a play, all as inexpensive as it gets for dinner and theater in Dallas.

“Fun stop”

The MAC is free with a $5 suggested donation, and it's a great place to meet up with friends in Uptown before dinner or a show at Kitchen Dog Theater. Their exhibitions change every 5 to 6 weeks, so there's usually something new and edgy to see. It's not a traditional art space, more avant-garde. Pair this with a quick meal at Cafe Express down the street and a play at Kitchen Dog Theater, and you've got a pretty affordable evening or date in Dallas, with plenty of time to chat with your friends or date.
