Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, co-founded in 1975 by local actors Montgomery Davis and Ruth Schudson, is the city's third largest non-musical theatre company. Known for intimate, high-quality productions of literary merit, MCT engages audiences with thought-provoking drama while nurturing local talent. The theatre is a resident company at the Broadway Theatre Center in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward, sharing the space with Skylight Music Theatre and Renaissance Theaterworks.

Under artistic director C. Michael Wright, MCT has expanded programming to include the Young Playwrights Festival and works with emerging local artists.
