Some bars in West Hollywood don't really feel like the typical West Hollywood scene, which is a positive thing. Mother Lode is definitely one of those and probably the best. If you need a break from the chaos at places like The Abbey, Mickey's, or Revolver, head to Mother Lode for drinks. And buy me one too! Love it!! Great music, good-looking bartenders, lively crowd, excellent happy hour, yaaas.

Mother Lode is one of the earliest bars in West Hollywood, a neighborhood spot where men gather to drink, play pool, and chat. Tuesdays and weekends are the busiest times.

“Get a website, NOT a facebook link”
Very let down by bars that switch their website links to Facebook, requiring a membership signup which really annoys me. I didn't get fit by spending time on a computer or iPhone. I strongly recommend this bar and all other bars that use Facebook to go back to having a real website. All I'm asking for is equality. FYI, 40% of us normal folks refuse to use Facebook for various reasons. Look it up! But I think this bar would be one I'd want to visit when I come this December, if it had a website.

Of all the bars I've been to, this one makes extremely strong drinks. I think they're trying to kill you! You must stop here when you're in West Hollywood. Cash only but totally worth it!
