About

Precinct is open Tuesday through Sunday, with weekend hours starting at 5pm on Saturdays and brunch kicking off at 11:30am on Sundays. This DTLA spot calls itself the city's most spacious, fun loving gay bar, and it leans into that with a crowd mixing bears, cubs, otters, hipsters, and misfits. The vibe is lively and dive-adjacent, with drag shows and live entertainment on the regular calendar.

Friday nights often bring a big name performer around 11:30pm, and Saturdays rotate themed parties. The kitchen serves bar bites late enough that you can keep eating while you drink. It's a different energy than West Hollywood, more down to earth and less polished. If you're barhopping, Micky's Weho is nearby but this stays its own thing.

Located in Downtown LA, Precinct offers an alternative to the West Hollywood gay scene with a more spacious, dive bar feel.

I really enjoy Precinct! It is definitely my favorite place to go out on Friday or Saturday nights. They frequently bring in a well-known performer for the Friday evening shows that begin around 11:30 PM, and they have a rotating set of parties on Saturdays. Also, they serve food quite late, so you can eat some bar snacks without setting your beer down. Great music, attractive bartenders, a fun crowd, and overall a wonderful experience.

“NewspotLA”

The atmosphere was enjoyable with a mix of ages and appearances. I didn't fully like the occasional "explorer" who seemed out of place because of the location and the fact that it was a new spot when I first went. Still, it is a fun place and I have returned. Overall, it gets a thumbs up, it has a nice side, and it offers a different vibe than typical West Hollywood.
