About

The multi-level space glows with clean modern disco lighting, video screens, and a high-up stage. DNA Lounge has been drawing mixed crowds for decades, with four dance floors, two stages, and seven bars. DNA Pizza, their street-level restaurant and cafe, stays open after hours so you can refuel without leaving the building.

Friday and Saturday nights run until 2:30am, making this a solid late-night option. The crowd skews 20-something and about half gay, half straight, with dancing filling both floors. Yelp suggests the venue may be permanently closed, so check before heading out.

Located in San Francisco's SOMA district, steps from other nightlife spots and established venues.

“Cool Vibe @ New Wave City”

DNA Lounge has a cool atmosphere. It's a clean, modern disco with two dance floors, a raised stage, and video screens. I went for "New Wave City." The crowd was colorful and cheerful, with most people dancing. It was a mixed group, about half gay, with many attractive men.
