I've only been once, but it's a very nice place and I had a great time. The bartenders were cute and the crowd was fun.

“We went every night”
We had a really great time here. We visited during some kind of underwear-themed weekend, with tight butt cheeks, speedos showing very revealing parts, and flirty attitudes on full display... and that was just the crowd. The bartenders were nice and sexy too, drinks were good and usually strong, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Even the door guy checking IDs greeted us by our first names. I appreciated that personal touch. We will definitely return when we're in Washington DC.

“Popular Bar with Theme Nights”
Second visit in 2018 for the shirtless and hang around night at the Lantern. It's not that hot outside yet, and the crowd was almost completely different. There was all kinds of eye candy at different levels on display, along with some of the newest styles of underwear. They should consider getting rid of the smoke machine because it doesn't smell healthy. They might try different lighting instead. The music depends on who is DJing. When I asked the price of the free drink—Miller Lite—I was told $6.00. Yes, the catch is they only have one bartender, so drinks come slowly. - don't bring Mom - fun crowd - great happy hour

“Rude Staff”
The manager is the most confrontational person I've ever dealt with at a gay bar. He seems to think it's okay to be rude and racist toward customers.

“Down-to-Earth, Friendly Bar”
I always have a good time at this neighborhood bar that is free of twinks. I love the bartenders, especially one of them. My only suggestion: completely renovate the restrooms; they're a relic from the old Green Lantern.
