It's okay if you don't have a problem with people doing drugs on the front sidewalk and management completely ignoring concerns about safety and illegal activities. Very unappealing and a total dive.

“Hospitable Ft. Lauderdale”

As tourists, we wanted tips to make our vacation better. The staff and regulars at the Pub made us feel welcome like family. We came back every night to share our day's experiences and learn more about the area.

“New and Improved”

Shannon, who previously ran Cubby Hole, along with his partner Anthony, have taken over this bar and the adjoining Island City Pizza. They've done an excellent job. They understand what makes a good neighborhood bar and have made this spot genuinely cozy and welcoming for both regulars and newcomers. The pizza next door is fantastic and can be ordered from the bar.

“Much better than Before”

With new management, this neighborhood bar now attracts a mixed male clientele and offers better drink prices. The new owners and team are very friendly, and I've already noticed numerous improvements and upgrades to the bar. Check it out if you like neighborhood pubs and meeting locals.

“TURN AROUND”

Why does this place keep changing bartenders? Every time I come in, there's someone new behind the counter—except for one who barely speaks English and acts like he owns the place. Multiple staff members have said they're not getting paid. Service is slow because the register is way too complicated for this bar. Prices are extremely high. It's rarely busy unless the bartender's friends are there, and if you're not part of that group, you'll be ignored. The place is full of heavy drinkers. If one customer doesn't like you, word spreads to the bartender who then treats you badly, and the owner doesn't even know what's going on. If you complain, you'll be ignored and banned. The bartender controls the TV and doesn't care what customers want to watch. Another Cher video? The crowd is usually older and grumpy. I'd definitely turn around and go somewhere else. There are two other bars on either side that are more fun and comfortable.
