“A real trailer trash hick dump”

I'm not young either, but I expect some decency. The last time I visited, a drunken old guy who clearly never showers pulled out his genitals, while a couple of regulars were discussing realizing they were gay after 65. When they're drunk, which is always, their self-loathing turns into hostility. There's no reason to go here. Management is to blame, as Clearwater could have a nice tourist-friendly bar. Honestly, if you ever need to lose an erection, just picture the clientele here. It's like a small Midwestern town transplanted to Florida 50 years too late. But they profit from selling booze to stoned drivers, which is illegal and dangerous. If you want some filthy old bum drooling over you, by all means go.

I read good reviews, so I went on a Saturday afternoon in November. It wasn't crowded, but almost every seat was taken by smokers. Everyone was smoking. If you don't smoke, you'll probably hate it. I had a beer; the crowd seemed nice, but I couldn't finish fast enough. I recently moved to Florida and am shocked at how many people smoke. I won't go back anytime soon.

“Nice bar, good drinks, friendly atmosphere”

A very nice, casual bar with friendly people. The bartender let me change the channels on the big screen to watch a show I like, and I was thrilled it had captions for my hearing disability. The beers and mixed drinks were high quality and ice cold. The bathrooms weren't terrible; I used my bag to keep the door closed, which worked fine. I think this could be a good place for me to meet other young gay guys who aren't dramatic or obsessed with money and using dates for free stuff. The ventilation was the best I've experienced in a bar; I didn't need my fan, which I usually bring because drinking raises my body temperature. Located in scenic downtown Clearwater, with pool tables and TVs, it's like a reasonably priced sports bar for men, unlike overpriced, sissy clubs. Based on my one visit, it's perfect for the regular gay, lesbian, or anyone who wants a simple, casual atmosphere away from loud, snobby, two-faced club scenes. Yay for Pro Shop Pub!

“Horrible Bar”

This is the dirtiest, smokiest bar I've ever seen. The bartenders are okay, but one of them is extremely slow and can't even chill a shot properly. They use metered pourers on all bottles, so don't expect a strong drink. The bathroom doors have no locks, so people can have sex and do drugs in there. The bar opened in the 1970s and hasn't been cleaned or renovated since. Do not ever go here. I'd rate it zero stars if I could.
