“friendly meeting place”

At Porchside Bar, there is a sing along piano bar several nights a week. Joining in on songs or the chorus is a fun experience. The bartenders are attentive, and the crowd is unpredictable, so you never know what friends you might meet and make at the bar on the porch.

“OK for some laid back fun-drinks”

I enjoy this bar if you start your night here before heading elsewhere. It's quiet, pleasant but not thrilling. You can meet men, typically around 40, and though younger guys do stop by, they're usually with friends for a drink or two and then leave for livelier spots. There's also a lesbian area, which women appreciate, but men generally prefer being around other men.

“Great atmosphere, ...”

I have been visiting Provincetown for 22 years, and this is one of my favorite spots. It feels like classic New England, with a lovely porch to sit outside and enjoy the sea breeze in the summer, and a cozy fireplace inside for winter. The jukebox has great songs, perfect for singing along after a few excellent cocktails. While the drinks are strong, the manager is a bit too self impressed. But you should still go, order a great cocktail, and enjoy the atmosphere.

“Friendly?”

I disagree. The staff came across as quite impolite. It's not somewhere I'd choose to spend time.
