The staff was very rude and even aggressive when I asked questions. The prices are good and the other customers are nice.

The staff has no class. The bald bar back needs to learn manners. The place is so dark you can't see when you walk in. There's only one spot to order drinks, and it's cash only. If you don't drink alcohol, you're limited to mixers. As someone who lives alone and spends most of their time alone, it's nice to be around people, but they apparently have a problem with people camping out. I was accused of bringing my own drink and using their table without buying anything. A decent person wouldn't accuse someone right away; it made me feel unwelcome, which was clearly the intention. That's unacceptable, especially at a place serving a community that often feels unwelcome. I have a hard time feeling like I fit in, and the bar back went out of his way to make me feel like crap. He succeeded. I had no problem buying a drink or doing whatever to fit in. I've been to hundreds of gay bars worldwide and never felt so unwelcome. A gay bar should be a safe, connected place to feel part of the community. The rest of the state might be Minnesota nice, but in Minneapolis, the gay community is Minneapolis mean. Shame on that bald bar back. I'm sorry no one made you feel welcome, but I hope you think about how you treat others. I'm sure I'm not the first person he's made feel this way. “not just a neighborhood bar anymore”

It's one of the few gay bars that has gotten busier in the last 20 years. People from all over the city come here for cheap drinks, good happy hours, and pool. 25 years ago, the bar was mainly a neighborhood bar for people living there or for cruising in the area.

A great place with important gay history. Very relaxed bar.

“good crowd nice location”

Visiting on January 2nd—will definitely stop in for a cocktail. I'm getting away from work for the weekend and need a good time.
