“Basically The Closet”
I visited tonight. A straight guy called me 'brother.' I'm a full-time transvestite, so I didn't appreciate being called that and told him so. After that, he spent the whole night harassing me, touching me, and trying to get on my good side to restore his status as the unquestionable straight man. To my shock, the bartenders backed him up. Even though I repeatedly told him to leave me alone, they pushed me to interact with him, and when that failed, they made snide remarks about me. If you want to go back into the closet, this is the place: straight people rule and queers are treated as commodities. Expect to be objectified here.

“Very friendly crowd”
I'm visiting from elsewhere and dropped into Side Kicks Saloon. Despite the name, the people there are quite welcoming. They don't offer any food, so no grill items are available, but they can suggest nearby spots to eat.

“If you're looking for a full serving of bitchiness”
I came here with some friends. The bar itself looked fine, but the staff and several regulars had a really unpleasant attitude. They were rude, unfriendly, and gossipy. The place doesn't feel welcoming to anyone who hasn't been coming for over a decade. Given the small space and the hostile or handsy crowd (we were groped by regulars, treated like objects, and when we rejected them we were called rude and conceited by the staff), you'd hope the drinks would be cheap, but they weren't. I will never go back.

“Use to be my favorite bar”
The bartender was excellent, but there were way too many women. I even got shoved off the dance floor by them. This is just another venue the owner has damaged.
