I drove from Raleigh to attend an event but was told at the door that I needed a passport to enter. I have never been asked for a passport at a bar before, and every other local venue has accepted my country's ID or driver's license. Why would I risk losing or having it stolen? This policy also seems incredibly prejudiced and racist since it excludes other forms of identification. What about immigrants who don't have a passport? Are we excluding people based on their immigration status? If the police can accept other countries' driver's licenses, a bar should too. I guess my immigrant money isn't good enough for them, and I had to drive almost two hours back home.

“Down Home”
I love this space and everyone there. It's such a wonderful place that feels like being on your back porch back home with the right people in a great environment. They have excellent events, trivia nights, and I always feel welcome.
