Piranha Nightclub

I visited on a Saturday night and was really put off by the door pricing. They charged $20 to get in if you didn't have a Nevada driver's license, but only $10 if you did. That kind of fee seems excessive and frankly exploitative. This is a nightclub where people will obviously spend money inside on drinks. Adding an inflated cover charge on top feels less like crowd management and more like taking advantage of tourists. I was so disappointed that I left without going in. There are plenty of other places in Las Vegas that handle crowds without ripping people off at the door. I won't return under this policy.

“The New "It" Gay Bar in Vegas! :)”

This club across from Gypsy (or where Gypsy used to be) is like three venues in one. The front section plays top 40 music and has traditional pub decor with a large rectangular bar and video screens above. There's a small dance floor, lounge area, and VIP seating on one side. They've added a small bar beyond that and a larger bar further back. Off to the left is a new outdoor area with tables. In the back, past a big fish tank, is a glitzy futuristic disco playing techno and house music, with a long bar along one wall and a small stage behind the dance floor. Above that is a circular loft VIP area with booths and a small bar (prices are high for premium drinks—bring cash!). To the right of the building is an outdoor patio that leads to the front courtyard-like reception area. I was there late on a Saturday in July 2022 and the crowd was mixed. The bartenders were friendly and attractive. The go-go dancers were nice and varied in type, but all were muscular. Cover was $20 and I paid $12 for a rum and coke. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Vegas.

“Rude Staff!”

When I arrived, the front staff told me that because I wasn't a local I had to pay an entrance fee. When I joked about it not being fair, the person checking IDs immediately said, 'You don't need to come here,' so I spent about $500 that night at the other two clubs instead. That short black guy needs to change his attitude; he's hurting this business.

Piranha is a gay club in Las Vegas that gets busy after midnight and stays open late. The plain exterior hides what's inside. After passing through intense security (pat down and metal detector), the front door opens to the dance floor, with a bar behind it. The interior reminds me of a cave. On the main dance floor there are a few bottle service areas that need reservations. Walking through a hallway to the back leads to a second dance floor with another bar. When I went, the front had dance music and the back played Latin music. I didn't see many people dancing in either room. There were go-go dancers, but few people interacted with them. The bartenders were a mix of shirtless men and women, all straight. I went on a Sunday night. My main complaint is the drink prices—they're the same as on the Strip for a standard well cocktail. Maybe they could offer drink specials on slower nights to attract more people.

“Awesome Club”

Drinks were a bit pricey, but the entertainment and music made up for it. I'll definitely come back!
