Friend's Tavern pulls a mixed crowd of bears, twinks, daddies, and everyone in between with its Latin-themed energy, salsa and house music, and drag shows plus go-go boys and strippers. Happy hour runs from 4pm to 10pm daily with $3 beers and $4 drink specials, and Wednesday happy hour lasts all night. “Local Hispanic Hangout but welcoming to all”
Friend's Tavern sits in a safe area with many Colombian immigrants and a strong Latino community. It's packed with regulars who mostly know one another, which is great. I'm a white non-Hispanic American, but I value diversity. Salsa music plays constantly, and the bar welcomes everyone, even newcomers. I always meet interesting new people. It's a party atmosphere for all, including gay and gay-friendly men and women. A spot you'd want to stay at all night. Only five blocks from the 74th Street subway stop.

This is a really nice neighborhood bar. There's always a festive atmosphere. It gets packed late at night, but happy hour also draws a good crowd.

“Great Bar, Great Peope, Great Music”
This place has been open forever, and I finally checked it out. I'm so glad I did. It's a great little local bar with hot music and incredibly friendly staff. A lot of fun.
