Henrietta Hudson is New York's most popular lesbian bar, but it's no longer the crowded nightclub of its past. Now it's a moody wine bar with specialty cocktails and charcuterie and cheese pairings. The midcentury-modern interior feels like a cross between a living room and a petite cafe, with armchairs, plush ottomans, and work nooks.

Open Thursday through Saturday until 2am or 4am, with dancing on weekends. The crowd leans 20s and 30s, mixed LGBTQ+ but especially for women. Happy hour draws locals, and the outdoor seating is a bonus in good weather.

The women here really know how to party. Attractive bartenders, great music, fun crowd, excellent happy hour, lively atmosphere, and strong drinks.

“Poor music selection”

The DJ played only reggaeton all night. I've been to this place many times before, and the DJs usually mix reggae, hip hop, and house music. I was very disappointed and won't return.

“Lesbian Writer”

I love this bar, but it's not keeping up with the times. They need to improve. They should rotate in fresh DJs; the regular Saturday DJ isn't good at all. They let go of the one attractive bartender. Not a single employee is eye candy since Krys left. Drinks are good, Friday night music is much better than Saturday's. They always have a crowd, but if they modernize they'll do better. It's one of the few lesbian-focused places all the time. Let's not let it fade due to bad management.

“Fun hang-out”

My girlfriend and I stopped for a drink before the concert and didn't want to leave, but we had to see the show. Clean, nice atmosphere and the bartender was really cool.

Always a good time. Lots of women to laugh and dance with. Music is always good, bartenders are friendly, and drinks are always good. It's a must-go to relax and have fun with friends or even meet new people.
