Don't go to Industry Bar. Last night, a friend and I were denied re-entry from the smoking area after being inside for hours because a security guy thought we were cutting the line. We tried to show our IDs and explain we were already inside, but he refused because we were too clever with him. We left and called our friends from the sidewalk. He came out and said we couldn't stand on the sidewalk. When I said sidewalks are public, he threatened me and mocked my accent, saying I didn't know how to behave in this country. I crossed the street, and he followed, telling nearby security not to let us in and calling us names for having an accent. It's great to see the people hired to protect the LGBTQ community are still xenophobic and violent.

“Beware”

I stopped in yesterday during two-for-one Happy Hour. I put down a twenty dollar bill. When the bartender gave me my second drink, I thanked him, and he took the change, leaving me with a ten dollar tip for two drinks. Seriously? What is it with bartenders assuming the money on the bar is theirs? It's a cool place, but I won't return. Someone needs to teach the bartenders the basics.
