“Inexpensive-ish Bar but Small and Crowded”

Nowhere is a long, narrow bar east of NYU that feels like a local hangout and has several video screens. I visited on 5/17/14 and paid $6 for a rum and coke. There was no cover charge, which was nice, but seating was limited. The bar was very crowded with a diverse crowd. There was only one go-go boy twink on the stage in back, so I finished my drink and left. I didn't find Nowhere particularly interesting, but it's cheap for NYC, the management is polite, and you could mingle with locals there.

“Favorite Bar in NYC”

This is my favorite bar overall. The crowd and atmosphere are perfect for someone who is more laid back. Drinks are fairly inexpensive and the bartenders are all sweethearts. It can get very crowded and it's not really a twink scene, but they aren't mean to twinks either.
