“Great, friendly, fun bar!”
Rain is a fantastic gay bar located in downtown Austin. The bartender who served us was incredibly nice and very attractive. He gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and other places to visit. The regulars were also very friendly and welcoming. The drinks are well-made, large, and fairly priced. I will definitely be returning to this bar.

“Do not go under 21”
My two friends and I went to Rain yesterday, and we are all 20 years old. Since it's an 18+ club, we went for fun. We were completely sober, and I asked for a cup of water from the bar. I was drinking from a clear cup when two bouncers suddenly approached me and asked if I had been drinking. I said no, but they grabbed both my arms in front of many people and dragged me out onto the street. They returned my ID (which they keep when you enter under 21) but decided to invalidate it by bending and breaking off the top corner where the bar code is for all three of us. I was furious, and they wouldn't let us back in. We also paid $10 each. It was ridiculous. The atmosphere was amazing and the club is awesome, but we were ripped off and treated like trash by the security.

“Great music too crowded”
Loved the music, but when you can't move and have to wait 25 minutes for a drink, it's not the place for me.
