A mix of 30-somethings, 40-somethings, and 50-somethings pack the dance floor at this country and western club. It's the largest LGBTQ+ venue of its kind in Dallas, with a dance hall that fills up for line dancing and two-stepping.

Open daily from early afternoon until 2am, you can catch karaoke nights or shoot pool between sets. Bring your cowboy boots, as the dress code leans western. Regulars head here for the lively group-friendly atmosphere and outdoor seating when the weather cooperates.

“a good bar gone bad”

My friend and I visited family during the holiday and discovered Round-Up Saloon. Around 12:30 AM, the music switched to hip hop, the crowd became rude, and the atmosphere changed. I will never go back.

“busy and tries to be a normal club”

Weekends are no fun at all! Way too crowded, and after 11 PM you can't have a beer and dance.

“NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT EVEN TRY IF YOU ARE STRAIGHT”

I will never step foot in this place again. Last night, I tried to enter with my boyfriend and his two male cousins. The guys were ahead of me and weren't asked for ID, so I naturally followed them inside. The bouncer yanked my arm back forcefully and demanded my ID. It's not that I minded showing my license, but the aggressive way he grabbed me was unacceptable. I told him it hurt and that I found it unfair that I was the only woman in the group singled out. He got in my face and said he didn't like me confronting him, then told me to leave and threatened to call the police if I didn't. The guys tried to talk to him calmly, but he kept pushing me out. We weren't drunk or causing trouble, just trying to reason with him. I was humiliated and disgusted by his behavior. If straight bars are expected to treat everyone fairly, gay bars should too. Straight women shouldn't bother with this place; find somewhere else.
