River Street Club
Bathhouses · Troy, NY
About
Crowd here skews older, but men of all ages are welcome. River Street Club in Troy is a private men's membership club with a gym, steam room, hot tubs, and private rooms for playing. It's clean and well maintained, with free coffee and tea of higher quality than you'd expect. You can buy snacks at the front desk and add them to your room bill.
There are a few quirks worth knowing. The 4-hour time limit on lockers and rooms feels tight for some visitors. Surveillance cameras cover the video lounges but not the dark room, glory hole room, or sling room. The steam room and sauna heat have been criticized as disappointingly low. Saturday is reportedly the busiest night.

I was visiting Albany for a few days and came here two days in a row. It's small but a decent bathhouse. It has lockers, rooms, steam room, sauna, Wi-Fi, two public computers, hot tub, showers, and a gym with free weights, machines, and two treadmills with TVs. They provide good-quality free coffee and tea, and you can buy snacks from the front desk and pay at checkout. I found it odd that there are surveillance cameras in many areas, including two video lounges, likely to enforce a no-public-play rule, but no cameras in the glory hole room, dark room, or sling room. The 4-hour time limit for a room or locker also seemed strange. The steam room and sauna weren't hot enough, and the hot tub water looked cloudy, but overall it was clean and well-maintained. I felt comfortable walking barefoot. The crowd was mostly older, but I had intimate encounters with several men. You probably will too.

“Comfortable, relaxing place”
I really enjoy this place. It's conveniently located near the interstate with easy and safe parking, it's clean and well-kept, and the decor is pleasant. The staff are friendly. I'm surprised it's not busier. Sunday afternoon is the best time to go.

“parking BS”
I've visited several times and always have a good time. But last weekend, parking was terrible. The big lot out front is now private and off-limits, and the club's own lot is tiny. I didn't feel safe leaving my car far down the block, so I left. I hope they fix this issue.

“Always have fun!”
I've been going to River Street Club for about a year and always have a good time. Some visits are better than others, but I can relax and usually hook up as much as I want. There's a mix of guys—mostly older, but some hot younger ones too. And those older guys know how to please. The coffee is great, and I like the upstairs lounge to take a break from the hookup area. Staff is generally good and friendly, and I think my happy attitude helps. I wish they were open all night so I could stay over, sleep a bit, then go back to having fun.

“First Time There”
Having visited many bathhouses around the country and in Europe, I can say River Street is one of the better ones for cleanliness, facilities, and friendliness. It's the only one I've been to that closes at 11 PM. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and patrons were nice too—mixed ages and sizes, all willing. I arrived around lunchtime on a Friday and there was a good crowd. The facility is well-maintained with a jacuzzi, steamroom, dry sauna, shower room on the first floor, and video lounges, video room, glory hole room, dark room, sling room, and gym on the second floor. Most people get a room on the second floor, but I was fine on the first. I'd definitely go back; other patrons said Saturday is better. Have fun.
