About

First thing you'll notice at Quads Gym is the serious lack of natural light. Most windows are few and there are no skylights, but the equipment lineup makes up for it: every conceivable machine is here, plus a wide array of free weights. Despite being in Boystown, the majority of members seem straight, so this is not a cruisy space. It's a workout-focused gym for people who mean business.

Quads has been a Northalsted fixture for over 20 years. The hours are generous: Monday through Friday 5:30am to 10pm, Saturday 6am to 8pm, and Sunday 9am to 8pm. If you want a change of scenery, nearby Cheetah Gym offers a different vibe. Reviews praise the friendly trainers and clean facilities, but regulars know that weekends are quieter because the serious lifters rest. Day passes are available; check their website for rates.

“For a serious workout!”

Quads has every type of equipment you could want, but it doesn't get much natural light since there are no skylights and only a few windows. Most members appear to be straight, so it's not a cruisey environment. Personally, I value the large selection of free weights. I've been a member for more than 15 years.

“Best Gym in the City!”

I adore this gym! A Boystown staple for over two decades, it's truly the finest gym in the city.
