“World Class”
Having visited around 100 gyms globally over the last decade, a few really stand out. Quad's in Chicago is ugly but hardcore with great gear. Gold's Gym in Venice is legendary and lives up to its billing. World Gym in San Diego is a chaotic hardcore spot but fantastic. FIT competes well with these icons; it doesn't have every piece of equipment but has what's essential. It could use more heavy barbells, gear for T-bar rows, and less free-motion equipment, but those are minor complaints. A friend noted that in most gyms 80% of guys look average and 20% make you envious; here, 80% look like Men's Fitness cover models and 20% are average. Spotless, well-lit locker rooms, stand-up tanning, private showers, steam room and sauna, endless towels, shaving supplies, deodorant, and more. Good food area, friendly staff, huge cardio selection, etc. A superb experience, highly recommended.
