About

In the Historic District of Eureka Springs, Magnetic Valley Resort is an exclusive men's resort owned and operated by a couple with no employees. This clothing optional retreat offers a salt-water pool, hot tub, and a BYOB bar, plus a new gym and upper deck added in 2018. The property has 5 rooms and plenty of sun and shade loungers, all set in a wooded area designed for relaxation.

The vibe is more like a friend's house than a luxury spa, as one guest put it: "comfortable and relaxing." The owners enforce a no-sex-in-public-areas policy, so this is not a bathhouse scene. It's an LGBTQ-owned space where you can unwind without pretense. Hours are 11am to 10pm daily.

Magnetic Valley Resort is located in Eureka Springs' Historic District, a walkable area known for Victorian architecture and a welcoming LGBTQ+ community.

From the community

The owner of Magnetic Valley Retreat, Alvin Byrd, responded to a guest who complained about the facility not being a bath house atmosphere. The guest was asked to leave the hot tub for having sex in it, as signs clearly prohibit sex in public areas and the hot tub. The guest was also hitting on many other guests, including the owner and his husband. The owner stated the rules are posted at the entrance and the resort is not and never will be a bath house; he wished the guest luck in finding a place that suits them.

“Nude resort no touching!”

It's strange that you're allowed to look but not touch, or else the owner will yell at and humiliate you. I will never return or suggest this place to anyone. He constantly jumping on people ruined my trip. Seriously, a bunch of naked gay men—what did he think would happen? He has the right to run his business as he wishes, but he does not have the right to misrepresent it.

“Perfect!”

To all you queens and divas looking for a luxury spa, take your large wallets elsewhere. But if you know that friend's house which isn't fancy but where you always have a blast, that's this place. The rooms aren't luxurious but are immaculate, and the whole venue is comfortable and relaxing. The hosts make you feel very much at home. We will definitely come back.
