The Clarendon Hotel and Spa by GreenTree

Hotel · Phoenix, AZ

About

This might look like a retro motel from the outside, but The Clarendon Hotel and Spa by GreenTree is a genuinely cool boutique stay. It draws a mixed gay/straight crowd, and the outdoor pool with underwater speakers and a 50-person hot tub is a social hub. A nightly service fee covers a glass of wine at check-in and free snacks after 10 pm. On-site is a Mexican restaurant and bar that stays hopping even on weeknights. The rooms are nicely decorated with comfy beds, and the staff is friendly. Located in Central Phoenix, it's close to downtown and the Melrose District. Many rockstars have crashed here while passing through Arizona. You'll find the pool area lively, almost like a water park, making it easy to meet people. For a resort-style stay nearby, consider the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa .

“Great place to stay”

I would stay here again. I really liked the pool and having dinner on-site. The food was good and I'd return.

“Great fun”

They turned an old 1960s 1970s hotel into something cool and fun. Our room had nice decorations. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There's a nightly service fee, but it covers a glass of wine at check in and free snacks after 10 pm. The restaurant and bar were very busy even on Monday and Tuesday nights when we stayed. We changed our plans and are going back for our final night in the state.
