Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage

Hotel · Rancho Mirage, CA

About

You might expect a casino resort to feel dated, but Agua Caliente's rooms are surprisingly modern and spacious. Each room features two flat-screen TVs, one in the bathroom, plus a separate spa tub and shower. The downside? Smoking is allowed in the casino (common for California Indian casinos), and the property is in Rancho Mirage, about 20 minutes from downtown Palm Springs.

If you prioritize a clean, contemporary room over walkable nightlife, this is a solid choice. The hotel is very new, so furnishings feel fresh. For a more central LGBTQ-friendly stay, consider The Saguaro Palm Springs. But if you're fine with the drive for a quieter setting, Agua Caliente delivers on amenities at decent prices.

“Great spa - open to public”

I always enjoy my time there. Erotic, quiet, and clothing-optional. Good for people who are curious.

“Excellent Hotel, But Far from Things”

Agua Caliente has the best rooms I've found among the many desert hotels I've stayed at. The downside is its location, right off I-10 at Ramon Road in Rancho Mirage, which means it's about a 20-minute drive to downtown Palm Springs. But focusing on the property itself, it's very new with gorgeous rooms. Mine was spacious and had modern decor, complete with two flat-screen screens—a big one in the bedroom and a smaller one in the bathroom. The bathroom also featured a separate spa tub and shower. I didn't gamble, so I can't speak to the casino, but you can definitely tell smoking is allowed since California's tribal casinos permit it. If you want excellent accommodations and don't mind the commute, this is a great pick.
