Had an excellent time at Island House. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Check out the 24-hour restaurant and bar. A server named Michael was great. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, easy layout, great fitness center, nice amenities, and try the restaurant.

This place is awesome! It was voted the best gay resort in the world, and I can confirm it's true. It's the perfect spot to relax, be yourself, and you never need to leave. There's a heated pool and a 24-hour restaurant and bar right next to it. Lots of naked men and very friendly staff. I love it! The rooms are clean, close to everything, beds comfy, lobby cool, layout easy, fitness center great, amenities nice, romantic, and the restaurant is worth trying. It's upscale and trendy.

“Changes...”
I have stayed at Island House many times over the past few years. During a recent visit, management made changes. A letter in my room listed the changes, which were not on the website or brochures. The letter said the changes were due to guest comments, which I found insulting. Changes included limiting free coffee to 7-11 am and shortening happy hour by half an hour to 5-6 pm. I did not request these, nor do I think any guest would. If the resort said they had financial issues, I could understand, but blaming guests is unacceptable. The room was not clean. Previously rooms were neat, now barely clean. Bathroom items are not replaced, and I felt lucky to get clean towels. The pool area is okay. During Sunday and Wednesday pool parties, a nude server does not serve everyone, picking and choosing who to attend to. The inferior service may be due to new faces. The regular staff are very friendly and make the stay worthwhile. Kudos to the permanent staff.
