About

The hum of conversation mingles with the splash of the pool at this clothing-optional all-male guesthouse. New Orleans House is right on Duval Street, steps from nightlife and landmarks. It's part of the Bourbon St. Pub Complex and offers a sun deck, swimming pool, hot tub, and a garden bar open daily from 10 am to 4 am. The vibe is cruisy and social, with a mixed crowd of 20-somethings and 30-somethings. Rooms are clean and spacious; some include full kitchens and two king beds at a single-room price.

You'll find breakfast served by the pool, plus a small diner. Skip rooms directly over the bar if you want quiet at night. For a full-service resort alternative, consider Havana Cabana At Key West , which is also nearby. Tuesday evenings are the only time women are allowed at the garden bar. The staff is known for being well mannered. Pack sunscreen and no swimsuit for the pool area.

New Orleans House sits right on Duval Street, Key West's main drag, in the center of the gay district. You're within walking distance of Mallory Square, the historic lighthouse, and the Bourbon St. Pub Complex.

This guesthouse is conveniently located right on Duval Street, close to everything. The room was nice, spacious, and clean. The pool and hot tub were pleasant, with a bar nearby. Some cruisy activity around the pool area. The room was directly above a bar, so loud music played all night. It's best to request a room away from the noise. Overall, I was very satisfied and would return. Highlights: clean rooms, close to everything, comfortable beds, easy layout, great fitness center, nice amenities, romantic, but skip the free breakfast.

“Best guesthouse in town”

Rooms have a full kitchen and two king-sized beds in separate rooms, all for the price of a single room elsewhere. It's centrally located in the gay area on Duval Street, with a clothing-optional pool bar. Breakfast and a small diner by the pool are included. Definitely the best value in town.

A very clean place. The bar by the pool is excellent. I spent two nights there with friends and really enjoyed being in Key West.

“WOW.LOVED IT..REALLY”

My friend and I visited on June 3rd and 4th and hated the four-hour drive from Fort Lauderdale. We were there for the party at New Swinging Richards, and the drive felt risky due to police presence. The route is scenic and historic, but next time I'll fly. We visited the old lighthouse, climbing 89 steps to the top for photos. Also toured Harry Truman's Little White House, where I sat at a desk and used his phone that he used to order bombs dropped on Japan. I got great pictures but had to tip to take them. Mallory Square, right next door, was a great visit for sunset photos. Interesting street performers played music and sang 'The Tennessee Waltz' for us. My feet were sore; next time I'll take the tennis shoes the hotel employee offered to lend me. Some staff also dance at the bar, including one from Russia who was very nice, so that must be a nice place. It was one of the coolest visits ever. We caught a chicken in the street (they run loose there) and the police asked us to let it go; we joked about eating it. I loved everything but the drive. Staff and dancers were very well-mannered. I'll be back soon.
