“Best Dressed Madame”
This hotel is extremely welcoming to LGBTQ guests, hosting an annual Best Dressed Madame contest that was hilarious, enjoyable, and inclusive. It honors May Baily, who ran a bordello on the site in the late 1800s with women described as "lewd and abandoned" per a displayed license. Very fitting, and being just a block from Bourbon Street makes it both convenient and peaceful. Great value for the cost!

“Great Place”
It was a great place to stay, at least when I visited in 2003 and 2008. Since then, I've been parking in the garage, and the staff has always been very gracious and accommodating. They are very friendly to queer and trans guests, and they address me by the correct pronoun when I'm dressed.
