Inn on St Peter
Hotel · New Orleans, LA
About
Inn on St Peter sets itself apart from other French Quarter hotels by offering a quieter, more historic retreat while still being within stumbling distance of Bourbon Street. Part of the French Quarter Guest Houses group, this inn features 29 unique rooms and suites, each with its own character. The building dates to 1805 and was renovated in 2012, blending traditional finishes with modern comfort. Outdoor courtyard seating and free wifi are confirmed amenities.
Reviews are mixed. Some guests rave about the location and friendly staff, while others report surly service and maintenance issues (peeling paint, mildew, cracked sink). Rooms vary in size; room 49 is notably small. For a more polished stay, you might consider the nearby Hotel Monteleone , which offers full service.

“Forget about it”
This place is a dump even for the area, but the rude staff is what really makes it a no-go. Save your money and sleep in the park.

“No, No!!!”
I stayed in 2008 and found the male staff mostly surly and unpleasant they were even rude to a friend trying to reach me by phone to arrange meeting up to go out, not a sexual hook up. The women working there were nice and friendly but you never knew when they would be on duty. Not a positive experience the electricity went out, the staff was surly, and I swore I would never stay here again.

Over a year ago. The room was oddly furnished with an armoire instead of a closet. The headboard was part of a bed brand I own, but the rest was pieced together from who knows what. You do have privacy.

“Super service. GREAT prices and Fantastic location”
I loved this hotel it was stumbling distance from Bourbon and there's a fantastic bar across the street that will put on a mini drag show for your birthday. The staff was super friendly. No complaints except room 49 is the smallest they have, really small. I'll be staying again this weekend for my 23rd birthday.

“What am I paying for?”
For the price this place is terrible. Our room was dirty with peeling paint and mildew around the tub, a cracked sink, and a loose toilet. The corridor to the courtyard smelled like a skunk. The only good thing is the location it's two blocks from Bourbon.
