The location couldn't be better. The hotel sits right in the middle of the French Quarter, but on a quieter street so it's not overwhelming or loud. Still, you can walk to everything. Plus, the downstairs restaurant is excellent with great food and service, and the drink menu changes nearly every month.

“decent hotel but noisy”
The hotel is nice with a pleasant courtyard, but the rooms lack soundproofing. The first night we could hear next door's conversation turn into a very loud argument. We also heard conversations from the pool three floors below and every person walking in the hallway. Staff are friendly but not as knowledgeable as we anticipated.

“Needs Updating...”
I like the W concept, but quality depends heavily on the location. This one has a decent location but feels a bit worn. Staff are nice but not as informed as I'd hoped. My room was supposed to overlook the courtyard but actually faced air conditioning units. It is gay friendly. The pool is nice, and the bar/restaurant is fairly good.
