“Great place!”
The room was very nice and the staff were pleasant. However, the main reasons to choose this hotel are: 1) The fitness center and pool are fantastic. The pool is indoors but there's a great outdoor area with a view of the Country Club. The gym was the best I've used in a smaller city—clean, with towels and many televisions. Great free weights. 2) There's a free shuttle to the Country Club Plaza area. If you tip the driver a few bucks, he'll take you to any of the gay bars, which are just a short ride away. 3) You can walk across the street to the park and watch joggers and interesting people, or visit the museums across the street. We've tried other places in Kansas City, but now I'll only stay here.
