“great location, that's it”

If you enjoy being near Times Square, the location is great. However, don't expect full doorman-level service. There were some issues with our room at check-in. We tried asking the front desk staff, but they weren't much help in resolving the problem. We had to wait until the next day and only after speaking with a supervisor did we get the room we had originally booked. Housekeeping was excellent—fresh towels daily and the housekeeper was likely the friendliest person working there. The breakfast buffet was average. I probably wouldn't stay here again and would advise against staying right in Times Square if your visit to the city is longer than two nights.

“Great Hotel If You Don't Mind The Hidden Fees”

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Times Square back in February 2011 and overall really enjoyed it. Our room was on the 24th floor with a fantastic view of Times Square and the Hudson River. The room itself was quite spacious, with a large bed, a big TV, and a nice bathroom. The hotel is centrally located, making it a short cab ride to places like Central Park, Chelsea, or even the Financial District. The only downside was the hidden fees and extremely high prices for extra amenities. If you decide to stay here, be sure to review your bill for any items you might have assumed were included.
