Kimpton Hotel Eventi

“In that the neighborhood is not a hot spot, the Eventi gives you much more for much less.”

I cannot speak highly enough of the Eventi. A friend and I stayed shortly after it opened, so we missed some of the now-available amenities. Being a Kimpton, it's the best hotel chain for LGBTQ+ guests and staff. We got an incredible suite with a long entry hallway (great for quiet), two large TVs, a nice sitting area in the living space, stylish wall treatments, and a clever exterior pocket door for the bathroom. The toilet has its own interior room within the bath, and there's a huge tub plus a shower. The most stunning feature is the view—incredibly close to Manhattan's tallest buildings, like the Empire State and Chrysler, which seemed within reach. As a photographer with a stylist friend, it's hard to imagine a better hotel for a photo shoot with those views and amenities. That's before even exploring the rest of the Eventi. Consider dining outdoors while a classic film is projected on a giant wall. The NoMad area (north of Madison Square Park) is still developing but will grow quickly like other previously overlooked Manhattan neighborhoods. There are no safety concerns, but you won't find a Gap nearby—and why would you want that? The location is very walkable to Chelsea, Flatiron, Gramercy, and up to 42nd Street. There's a subway stop close by, but you don't really need it. I hope to return soon. It's great.

“Amazing Property, Staff, and Location”

I was completely amazed, from check-in to check-out and everything in between. A friend and I came to town for my birthday weekend. The Eventi had a chilled bottle of champagne waiting in our room upon arrival to start the celebration—awesome! Later that night, we went to Club XL, where someone put something in my drink (not fun!). What the Eventi did for me was incredible. The club called the hotel, which sent a Town Car for me. Several staff members were waiting outside when I arrived, helped me to my room, and made sure I had everything they could offer to make me comfortable. I never saw a bill for the car, and they checked on me in the morning to make sure I was okay. Not only am I amazed at how far this wonderful hotel went out of their way for me, but I will be forever grateful. I will never stay at any property other than Kimpton. Forever loyal. Well done, Kimpton.
