Wonderful hotel with amazing staff and fantastic rooms. We wouldn't choose any other place when visiting Portland.

You should definitely try the grilled chicken sandwich, it's excellent. The homemade chips are also delicious.

“Beautiful design, a bit cold”
I stayed at the Nines during my last visit to Portland and was really impressed with the room, the quality of the amenities, and the decor. It's clear they put thought into making the place look designed, with everything in aqua or brown. I'm a fan of the Starwood brand, and while the Nines is part of their luxury collection, aside from the design I didn't notice much that set it apart from their other properties; it felt large and somewhat impersonal. For a luxury hotel, I want to feel the extra service, and I just didn't get that here. Still, I would stay again because the rooms are great and the location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown near all transportation.
