The room was compact and the air conditioning wasn't cooling properly. On the positive side, it's near everything, the beds are comfortable, and you should skip the complimentary breakfast.

“a fine place, location, and comfortable amenities”
Every stay has been equally pleasant, with a wonderful, fresh, and healthy breakfast that's perfect for relaxing with a newspaper or book. Just avoid bringing a car because parking for loading and unloading is difficult, and consider taking the stairs since the elevator can be slow when many people use it.

During my two visits to the Alexander Inn, I felt like family. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location is ideal for accessing everything the city offers. This is my top choice for a hotel.
