“Beautiful Hotel and Friendly staff”

I stayed from October 13th to 18th. The hotel is beautiful with friendly staff, a great pool and swim-up bar, plus a water slide. Choose the cabana for ocean views or the tower for both ocean and city views. The beach is a short walk with free chairs and umbrellas. It's also close to bars and clubs, with the Atlantic Beach hotel and bar next door. I had an amazing time by myself and met many friendly locals.

Wear long pants in the evening because the lobby bar has a more upscale atmosphere. If you're still in shorts and flip-flops, you might feel out of place or get told to leave.

“Plan to return.”

I stayed three nights at El Convento and three nights at this Marriott. The ocean view room had an awesome view. It's not luxurious but fits the Marriott standard; clean and contemporary. Most staff were professional and helpful, except one front desk employee who was on a personal call in Spanish while I waited, not realizing I understood. She kept gossiping for several minutes before I had to interrupt. Everyone else went out of their way, bringing a fridge to my room, checking my internet, etc. Maid service was good, and the lobby bar and casino were nice. I think it's the nicest hotel in Condado. I prefer Condado over Isla Verde because there's more to do—more restaurants, clubs, and nice beaches. The clientele was mixed. I plan to return this summer.

“Very Nice Hotel Right on the Beach”

This is a nice, large full-service hotel right on Condado Beach. Rooms are tastefully furnished, and the ocean-side views are beautiful. If you walk to the beach via Calle Vendig on the west side, you can enter the gay bar of the Atlantic Beach Hotel. There's also plenty of attractive men on the beach right there.
