“It started it all”
Chez Panisse essentially created the concept of California cuisine, focusing on fresh local produce and meats with creative dishes. My two lunches there were both fantastic, though I found the menu intimidating since nothing seemed standard and I was hesitant to try new things. Once you choose something despite that hesitation, you'll really enjoy it. I personally couldn't bring myself to order the bone marrow.
