Hot Java
Cyber-cafe and java hot spot
About
This cyber-cafe draws a crowd that's more men than women, described as mixed and 'gorgeous.' The free wifi and comfy sofas make it a go-to for remote work or meeting friends. Coffee and chai lattes are the standouts; the hot chocolate gets high marks too. Outdoor seating is popular but smokers dominate the sunny side.

“A Destination Before the Beach”
Service is usually friendly but varies with who is working. The food is decent. Coffee is very good. Hot chocolate is wonderful. Usually a nice-looking crowd.

We really enjoy it here. It's a great spot to catch what's going on in Long Beach.

“Gay Coffee House?”
A really nice place to relax and hang out with friends. The crowd is mixed, with more men than women. It's clean and modern inside, with flat screens, couches, a view of the street, and the usual coffee and pastries. I just wish they would remove the smoking area on the sunny side of the building, because that's where everyone wants to sit, and if you don't smoke but want some sun, you're out of luck.
