About
Downtown Palm Springs locals love El Mirasol Cocina Mexicana for its classic Mexican dishes and famously strong margaritas. It's a casual spot with outdoor seating and a full bar, where the friendly vibe draws a mixed crowd including many gay regulars. The owner's husband, originally from Mexico City, vouches for the authenticity.
Reservations are accepted, and brunch is served daily from 9am. For a lighter option, try the Skinny Margarita — less sweet but just as refreshing. It's also a short walk from LuLu California Bistro if you're bar-hopping.

Classic Mexican dishes, fantastic margaritas... you can't go wrong with El Mirasol - our favorite Mexican spot in town. (And my husband is from Mexico City, so he knows good food!)

“real deal. and lgbt supporting.”
Such a cool tasty authentic treat. Under the radar, thick healthy soul food. Classic in the best ways: margaritas and carnitas. At sunset it's nirvana and so friendly.

“Great Place for Dinner”
Besides the Gay Cities reviews, we met a few locals who raved about the place. We had a fantastic meal. Strongly recommend the Skinny Margarita - not as sweet as a regular one and very refreshing. The Shrimp in Garlic was incredibly flavorful and definitely the better of the two dishes we ordered.
