“Consistently Good at a Great Price”
I go here often with my boyfriend, and the food and service have been consistently excellent since day one. The crowd is mostly locals (many gay friend groups) and visitors in the know. They offer Cuban dishes and American classics like turkey dinners, with smaller portions of main entrees at lower prices for lighter appetites (prices are already very reasonable). The staff is professional, experienced, and friendly. I love the complimentary welcome snack of old-fashioned deviled eggs when they're available. Large black-and-white photos on the walls show Palm Springs history and celebrities. It's not on the hipster radar, and that's fine with us.

“Related to the other Rick's - Cuban and more”
We finally tried Rick's Desert Grill (dinner only) since we knew it shares owners with Rick's Restaurant (breakfast/lunch) up the street. There were plenty of options. I had a pork dish that was quite tasty, served with potatoes, vegetables, and black beans. My friend got the turkey dinner, which also looked very good. We both had plenty of leftovers. They have happy hour from 3 to 5:30 every night with discounted food items. Give it a try—I'm full just thinking about it.
