“not really a japanese restrauant”

Many restaurants call themselves Japanese without truly being so. Mikuni is decent, but I'd suggest Mana's in Sacramento near Fulton and Alta Arden. Here, everything from the food to the cooks and the waitstaff is genuinely Japanese.
